Usage Rates

A Usage Credit is FaxLogic's unit of local currency, used to valuate and meter fax usage. One Usage Credit (UC) is equivalent to one standard outbound page or one minute of transmission time to a destination fax number in the Zone A geographical area (see Outbound Rates by Zone chart below). We calculate the usage fee for most faxes based on the number of pages in the fax. If the total number of minutes required to transmit a fax is greater than the number of pages in the fax, we calculate the usage fee based on the number of minutes. For example, a 14-page outbound fax from Texas to New York lasting 10 minutes costs 14 UC. Conversely, a complex 10-page fax lasting 14 minutes also costs 14 UC.

Each outbound zone, listed in the Outbound Rates by Zone chart, defines a Usage Credit rate, or the number of Usage Credits billed per page or per minute. To calculate the usage fee to send your fax, find the zone for the destination country and multiply the rate for that zone by the number of pages you are sending, then multiply the rate for that zone by the number of minutes of transmission time. The usage fee for your fax is the higher of these two results. For inbound faxes, use the rate for your location, listed in the Inbound Rates by Country chart.

Every FaxLogic plan includes some free pages every month. If you exhaust your free pages in a given month, you must have enough Usage Credits in your account to cover your usage fees. If you incur usage fees but have no available Usage Credits, we add Usage Credits to your bill to cover your usage fees and to replenish your Usage Credit balance. These Usage Credits are billed at our standard rate. You can choose the quantity of Usage Credits we add to your account when you create your account. This automatic Usage Credit replenishment ensures uninterrupted service. If you anticipate heavy usage, you can buy prepaid Usage Credits at discounted rates. Usage Credits in your account cover any usage fees that you incur after exhausting the free pages provided monthly with your plan. Usage Credits never expire as long as your account is active, so you can buy them in advance to have for later use.
